My doctor on wheels
My cooked meal
The pandemic and successive lockdowns have helped control the spread of the virus but it has resulted in job losses, food insecurity and made the poor even poorer. As part of an integrated medical and humanitarian response, BUDS is helping many people with food and medicines, operating from our Drop-In Centers (which also function as walk-in OPDs where I and my team of doctors and frontline workers are providing basic medicines and referrals using a phone link). Till date we have reached rations to 720 needy families (approximately 3600 family members) in Sarai Kale Khan, Mori Gate and Shiv Vihar. The BUDS medical team has provided tele-health services to 750 clients.
All this would not have been possible without the generous donations received from the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India and various individuals. The BUDS team has been working tirelessly to pack and distribute food and mobilize communities to seek treatment as well as provide preventive advice on COVID-19. I would like to thank all those who have come forward to help, not only from India but overseas as well. Help BUDS help families in distress. Donate dry rations, money for medicines…every rupee goes to a family or individual in need.
At BUDS, we focus on charity efficiency. We make sure to optimize our internal processes so that we can maximise outcome from every dollar received. For less than 10 USD($) donated, you can feed and provide a health education to a child for one month...
