NSFDC was setup by the Government of India on February 08, 1989 with the name National Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSCSTFDC). It was incorporated as a fully owned Government of India Company under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 (Previously Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956).
BUDS collaborated with NSFDC and run a project “Focusing on the mental health needs of the survivors of North East Delhi Communal Riots of February 2020” with the AIMS & OBJECTIVES as below:
1. This project aims to conduct screening of the members of the community who were affected by the violence in regions of North East Delhi in February 2020.
2. The screening will lead to referrals to a team of psychologists and psychiatrists.
3. The project aims at attending to older adolescents (15 to 17 years) and young adults (18 to 25 years).
Area of Implementation
The proposed initiative is going on, in areas affected by violence in North East Delhi; Re- Settlement and shelter areas in Shiv Vihar, Mustafabad, Brajpuri and Chandbagh.
