Our Origin Story

In 2005, Dr. Rajeev Seth, an accomplished AlIMS pediatrician, was treating a severely malnourished child in a Delhi slum. He realized that medical treatment alone wasn’t enough. The child needed food, education, and dignity. That moment became the birth of BUDS-a commitment to serve every child, regardless of circumstance.
Today, joined by AlIMS professors and Johns Hopkins PhD’s and international medical experts, BUDS continues that mission with rigorous research, deep community bonds, and an unwavering belief that every marginalised child deserves a chance.
